Jentayu.
Play the song below and then only read the rest of the entry. Trust me, as it would make the reading more pleasurable.
Starting work on Monday, especially after a week long of break was never that easy. Though I woke up with a smile and enthusiasm, speed seems to be somewhat slow at work today. Perhaps most of the clients are still on holiday.
As it's nearing the final hour of another working day, I plunged myself into a nostalgic musical journey. I listened to Sheila Majid as it's Monday blues, and a little jazzy tune would be great to sum-up the day.
After the first song, I overheard my colleague playing this song, Jentayu. Definitely heard it before.
I got home and study the lyrics. Did a little research and learnt about the meaning behind the song.
Wow. Indeed, an epic love story. A mystical bird protecting the fragile connection called love.
I got to say that am a big fan of Gamelan beats, and when there's an infusion of traditional tune in one particular song, I'll be mused easily.
Gonna sway to the beat of the Gamelan, and the relaxing melody.
Loves it much.
